Our client, a traditional public house in St Austell. Are looking for an experienced 2nd Chef.
The Role.
In this position as 2nd Chef you will be expected to work on a number of sections in the kitchen. You will have the desire and determination to help take the business to a high level. As a Sous Chef you will be expected to be very hands on in the kitchen. You will have an outstanding friendly personality with definite ‘can do’ attitude, excellent attention to detail, real passion for food, with ability to bring added value to whatever you do
Experience/Skills
• Experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef level.
• To deputise for and assist the Head Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen.
• Assists the head chef in ensuring that food is prepared and served to the clients on time.
• You will have a high attention to detail, self motivation, initiative and the ability to thrive under pressure.
• You must be professional, punctual, committed and have a natural Passion for cooking. You will have the opportunity to work with fresh, local, seasonal produce.
• Ensuring that the highest standards of cleanliness and general hygiene.
• You will have flexibility with regard to working hours and should expect to work variable shifts when the demands of the business require it.
• You will posses excellent personal skills, be a good communicator, and be able to leading kitchen sections and more junior colleagues.
