Our client, a traditional public house in St Austell. Are looking for an experienced Head Chef.
The Role.
In this position as a Head Chef you will have the desire and determination to help take the business to a high level. As a Head Chef you will be expected to be very hands on in the kitchen. You will have an outstanding friendly personality with definite ‘can do’ attitude, excellent attention to detail, real passion for food, with ability to bring added value to whatever you do
Experience/Skills.
Experience as a Sous of Head Chef.
Orders of food stock appropriate to sales levels and not over ordered
Inspire & motivate the team to achieve food to specification and therefore achieve sales and profits
Manage the day to day food administration
Deliver the company kitchen standards as identified on Kitchen Audit.
Ensure all food is presented for service in a timely manner and in correct sequence.
You must be professional, punctual, committed and have a natural Passion for cooking. You will have the opportunity to work with fresh, local, seasonal produce.
Ensuring that the highest standards of cleanliness and general hygiene.
You will have flexibility with regard to working hours and should expect to work variable shifts when the demands of the business require it.
You will have a high attention to detail, self motivation, initiative and the ability to thrive under pressure.
