Our client is a vibrant hotel based in Cornwall. They are looking for a Junior Sous Chef. You will be working closely with the hotel’s Head Chef and Sous Chef in providing exceptional quality food and service from the minute the customer enters the hotel and restaurant through to the final stages of their stay.
The Role.
In this position as a Junior Sous Chef you will have recent experience as Junior Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie and possess good organisation and communication skills. You will have the desire and determination to help take the business to a high level. This business expects high standards from the kitchen team at all times. You will have an outstanding friendly personality with definite ‘can do’ attitude, excellent attention to detail, real passion for food and drink, with ability to bring added value to whatever you do.
Experience/Skills.
* Experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or Sous Chef level and a strong rosette background.
* You must be professional, punctual, committed and have a natural Passion for cooking. You will have the opportunity to work with fresh, local, seasonal produce in providing mouth watering and innovative dishes.
* Able to work on each section of the kitchen.
* Steady work history.
* To ensure work area is being worked on in keeping to a safe and hygienic state at all times.
* To promote quality throughout the hotel in all areas of food.
* You will posses excellent personal skills and be a good communicator.
* You must enjoy a fast paced industry and be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the business.
* You will have a high attention to detail, self motivation, initiative and the ability to thrive under pressure.
* You will ideally have experience working within a similar type of establishment.
